Meet the Team

Thom Kennon, Director of Insights and Ethics 

His background reaches back to his work as stats director for Craver Mathews Smith and his subsequent founding of The ISIS Group, a strategic consultancy and boutique service bureau for non-profit organizations, to his founding of digital services group Isis New Media in 1994.

From the early aughts thru to the current day, Thom has served as strategy director for global and regional for-profit and non-profit brands via his leadership roles within a range of marketing services agencies (Y&R, Wunderman, Rapp, VML, DDB) as well as his own strategic consultancy, Free Radicals. Since 2009 he has taught at NYU’s Master’s Program in Integrated Marketing and is the co-founder, consulting director and practitioner adjunct of YU’s Innovation Lab. 

His first book, The Big Leap – An Ethics of Insight was published in 2022 and he has been teaching and consulting to its provocations since then. His upcoming book, The Bigger Leap – An Ethics of NextCapitalism offers a framework of ethical insights for organizations seeking to imagine and build new worlds of value-making beyond the predatory and extractive effects of late capitalism.
